Job Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and hard-working Groundsman to maintain the beauty and integrity of our clients' outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and other landscaping features. As a Groundsman, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the highest standards of presentation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain lawns, gardens, and other outdoor areas through regular mowing, pruning, and watering
- Perform tasks such as hedge trimming, branch removal, and garden bed upkeep
- Operate a range of gardening equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and pruners
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues to management
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients
Must Have
- Experience in grounds maintenance
- Physical ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and spend long periods outdoors
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
- Basic first aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills
Nice to have
- Level 2 or higher in horticulture or a related field
- Experience with garden design and maintenance software
- Familiarity with environmental conservation practices
- Enthusiastic work ethic
